Virtual Education Series

USIHC is offering four virtual education seminars. 

Sessions will last approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours and include a lecture/presentation followed by a Q & A session, when members will be able to ask questions of the presenter(s). Each presentation will be recorded and available for viewing for 7 days. We hope you will join us!

Cost: 
$35 per seminar or $100 for the entire series
To register for all four seminars, select "Entire Series" at checkout or you can register for individual seminars

Best Practices for Shoeing Your Icelandic Horse
January 28th at 12 p.m. Eastern Time

Icelandic farrier Sigurður Torfi Sigurðsson will discuss leg and hoof anatomy and important issues to consider when shoeing your Icelandic Horse. 
*Farriers that would like to attend for continuing education can have the non-member feed waived. Please email info@icelandics.org 

Conformation and Movement
February 18 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time 

FEIF International Breeding Judge William Flügge will discuss how a horse’s conformation affects their movement. 
 

Proper Saddle Fitting for the Icelandic Horse
March 25 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time

Icelandic Saddle Fitter Guðmundur Arnarsson will discuss the importance of a properly fitting saddle and the unique physical characteristics of the Icelandic Horse to consider when purchasing a saddle. 
 

Introduction to the Gaits of the Icelandic Horse
April 22 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time 

USIHC Sport Judge/IPZV Trainer B Jana Meyer, and USIHC Sport Judge B/ IPZV Trainer C Alexandra Pregitzer will offer an introduction to the gaits of the Icelandic Horse with an emphasis on tölt.
