USIHC Statement
The United States Icelandic Horse Congress aligns with and supports the statement from FEIF below. We believe in protecting the welfare and wellbeing of the Icelandic horse and oppose all forms of animal cruelty.
“As the international Federation of Icelandic Horse Associations worldwide, FEIF condemns the practices and the mistreatment of mares on blood farms. We welcome the decision of the European Commission to stop the import and domestic production of PMSG and support any action taken by the Icelandic authorities to stop this procedure in Iceland completely.” -FEIF, November 24, 2021
