Arnar Bjarki Sigurðson will travel from Reykjavik to Truro, Iowa to teach us about the exciting
genetic history of the Icelandic Horse. Isolated for 1000 years, the Icelandic horse has a unique breeding
story. Students can participate in both lectures and riding instruction, including the opportunity to ride a
“mock” Breeding Evaluation.
Arnar is one of less than 30 International Breeding judges and the youngest to ever receive that honor by
FEIF. He is a l a graduate of Hólar University College in Iceland and a member of the Trainers
Association of Iceland (FT). Arnar breeds and trains horses in southern Iceland and is in high demand as
a clinician, judge, trainer and rider.
